I took the Domestic travel insurance cover (within NZ) and process to get the cover was very easy and straight forward. It was a peace of mind.
Unfortunately I had incident which required insurance claim. The claim process was also very easy and clear. Got my claim approved in couple of days. It was a breeze. I woupd definitely recommend getting 1cover insurance cover for my future travels. Thanks heaps.

I travelled to Canada in December 2019 and got travel insurance through my ASB credit card. While I was there I slipped in ice and broke my leg in 3 places. I had to be hospitalised and had a subsequent surgery. I had to fly home by business class as I was on crutches and had just had a surgery. I was anxious about how much would be covered as my hospital stay was just under $40,000. It was not a problem at all and all my costs were covered for which I was extremely grateful. I would thoroughly recommend.

Every time I contact Zoom I have a good experience. They are extremely helpful and professional. I will continue to use them.

We bought our insurance with TINZ. When our luggage was delayed in NY the lady on the phone was very helpful. She told us how much we were covered for in that scenario. During the rest of our holiday we had items stolen from our luggage in Cuba and we were delayed coming home due to weather. Once we were home, I tried to make the claim on line but it wouldn't accept my policy number so there was much delay and correspondence over that then I seemed to be dealing with Australia and despite my emails and attachments of documents they kept requesting either the same things over again weeks later, or further down the process they wanted new information. It was a very long, slow and tedious process just to get a small amount refunded. The money I was initially claiming for - for delayed baggage, the company refused to pay and it ended up being an airline claim. I have used this company before and been happy but TINZ seems to be underwritten by an Australian company that I had huge delays and hassles with.

Claim took a very long time. It was terribly frustrating not to be able to talk to a real person !!
And then we are told a credit into my Bank account will take 15 business days !!! This is 2020 - banks can process payments overnight !!!!

Even though I had a long wait to get information from air new Zealand, the claim stayed active and was resolved as soon as information was received.

Easy to use, good pricing and was good to deal with a claim. Why wouldn't you get 1 cover?!

I have no complaints re service, having used 1COVER comprehensive insurance regularly over the last 7+ years.I recall only 1 small Rental car damage claim which was promptly dealt with.
We booked a trip last September and took out our policy.Since then because of the small print, we have written off the accommodation and other costs we have not been able to recover ourselves.However I am disappointed that 1COVER has not seen fit to at least offer a part refund on the insurance policy involved.It is accepted there are costs in writing the policy but everyone is taking a hit!
