I was impressed by my claim being processed really quickly once the documents were supplied. I will recommend TINZ.

Didn't have to claim but process was easy and quick. I based my decision to use TINZ on reviews and cost.

Insured people were two grandmothers and grandaughter. Very reasonable rates. Easy to set up. Grandaughter had phone stolen. Claim put in. Lots of emailing back and forth getting the right info. We got police reports. A bit of confusion to start with over phone price as phone being on contract was less to buy but due to contract being broken she had to pay back to provider. Extra money was paid by insurance once this was shown.This was fair and we are happy with outcome. Communication could be improved. We still not received notification of extra payment but has gone into account. Thanks! All in all as far as insurance companies go they are pretty good. Fair result in end.

We made use of the an Already Overseas option - there are limited companies that provide this service - so we were very happy that TINZ provides this option with good coverage.

However we made a couple of medical claims and to be honest - everything about the claim process was bad:
- The Claims team does not communicate with the Operations Center Team so our needing to multiple emails, phone calls, and documentation all over the same claim was frustrating.
- Every time you make contact, there is a max 10 day response time... and they make sure they use the maximum time possible.
- We made a minor medical claim (~NZ$100) but it was if we were asking for 100,000 dollars. Almost not worth the effort really - which I think they secretly hope you do give up.
- When they realised we likely needed a second medical opinion (just another blood test, max extra ~NZ$100), the response was to tell us to hop on a plane back to NZ, use our own return ticket, cut our holiday short by 3 months, plus if we didn't do this, our entire travel insurance policy would become invalid (look out for that tiny clause in conditions).

Never use them again... there are better options and companies available. Thanks but no thanks TINZ.

Took multiple emails and phone calls to sort out. Pleasant staff but unnecessarily complicated process. Took ages and ages even to spell names correctly on policies.

I didn't need to use my insurance which was lucky but purchasing it was very easy and the best price on the market at the time

Every time we head away I always find getting insurance through 1 Cover simple and easy. Cheaper than most and covers everything you want through a variety of options. Simple!

One person travelling had a cardiac condition - additional cover was easy to fill in and was all done electronically.
Simple as.

Always easy to purchase online, you get good cover at a really good price. Haven't had to make a claim yet so I can't comment on that aspect.

I have used 1Cover several times over the past few years and have never had any complaints. I have only had to claim once and found that experience very satisfying. My claim was dealt with very efficiently and promptly and I certainly recommend 1Cover to anyone I know who is looking for travel insurance.

It's really cheaper than any other travel insurance. Very good and I will definitely get it again. Will recommend to my friends and family.
