I developed pneumonia about 10 days into a 42 day trip in Greece. I struggled on until it was obvious I wasn't going to get better. I went to a GP and then specialists, getting receipts etc along the way.
I notified the insurer via email to let them know what was happening and they were great - responding quickly and concerned for my health and telling me they were standing by to give me whatever help I needed.
Antibiotics and three days of bed rest did the trick and I was able to continue my honeymoon.
The insurer followed up at least twice to see how I was doing and asking if I needed any more help, which was really nice.

In terms of making a claim, the total cost was only just slightly more than $200 (which was the excess amount) so I didn't lodge a claim.

I'm happy with the service I received and will definitely use them then next time I travel.

I didn't have to claim but it was the cheapest I could find. The first ever company to send me an email asking if my trip was ok or if I needed to claim anything. Wonderful!

We always use 1Cover for our holidays, 3-5 times per year and only needed to claim once and our claim was handled promptly, thank you 1cover

I really found the process in getting this cover very easy. When i spoke to the staff around my quote they handled everything professionally.My only concern was a few days before departure i rang just to run some "what ifs' scenarios and confirm I understand what i was covered for. The person I spoke to did not seem confident in giving me information to make me feel comfortable about what i was covered for.

TINZ wouldnt cover me for my heart problem, but would still cover me for the basic things which I was pleased about. Cheers!

1Cover are the only travel insurance company our family use. We have only had to make one claim and that was very fast and efficient. Either online or over the phone, insurance cover is easy to arrange.

I was injured overseas and contacted 1Cover by email for advice. They answered quickly and reassured me I did not have to file the claim straight away which was a relief. Since my return I have filed my claim which was processed and accepted promptly. Thanks!

I'd had an allergic reaction to something which to this day remains a mystery. I received great support from 1-Cover emergency care rep to get a consultation, but was unable to make effective contact with medical support staff in the country I was visiting. So, great advice and support from 1-Cover, but not so good from Australian Doctors offices. Luckily I didnt die from the hives in my throat, aye Aussies!!

We had great piece of mind when our claim was accepted by 1Cover while we were still on the cruise.Their followup when we got back to Auckland was professional and efficient.
