Didnt need to claim.It was one of the cheapest insurers though.But as with all insurance you get home and think why did I bother, as we had no problems again.

I was previously robbed while on holiday in Vietnam in 2015. As long as I had proof of purchase/ownership, my claims arrived between 7-10 days after processing & I didn't even had to pick up the phone to hassle anyone.
1Cover also has one of the cheapest rates. However, depending what your travel entails, I would recommend checking them out to ensure you get the most out of it when you need it.

We have used 1 Cover for numerous trips over the years. No claims so far, but the extent of the coverage, the ease of application and the clarity of the documentation and procedures is refreshing and conveys confidence and reliability.

Fortunately I did not have to claim anything from my insurance provider. I was impressed how easy it was, as an older person, with a minimum of fuss, to get insurance cover at a third of the cost compared with another provider. I have used 1 Cover before and will do so again.

The phone contact was easy and the staff made sure that we were happy with the medical care and instructed us re the paper work we needed to be sure we were given to so that the claims process was also smooth.

It is disappointing that older people are so easily denied medical insurance or at least partial medical cover because of pre-existing conditions. It appears that I could get no medical cover for anything because of one condition; Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis which is serious but has nothing to do with thousands of other medical events which can occur when travelling.

Simple step by step process online. Handy to be able to get cover when you have already left NZ. Other companies don't offer this.
