TINZ Travel Insurance Review

Chose this company again. Excellent cover, except for Covid related illness. Disappointed this was excluded. Very reasonable premium and excess.

I have used TINZ on several occasions his year on my short jaunts to different countries this year. it has been great value for me as a senior citizen that still has the desire to travel. it has given me suitable cover for medical, driving, travel delays, loss of luggage. Fortunately I have not had the need to lodge a claim but all the communication I have had and the purchasing procedure have been very easy and timely. Would definitely recommend.

Emailed question to claim team about conditions of policy. Never heard back. Tried submitting a claim and online portal crashed after completing form. Online portal later crashed again when uploading documents. Online portal does not say what has been uploaded. 100% horrible experience. Worst insurer experience.

Asking if something is claimable was rebuffed. I was told to make the claim and only after filling in all the forms and submitting documents, would they then look at the issue and say yes or no. Still waiting to hear....

TINZ were so helpful when I was booking my trip to Europe, and then to Queensland, I would recommend them to anyone who wants a carefree experience with insurance. Thanks TINZ!

The TINZ website is very easy to navigate. It gives piece of mind knowing that TINZ has excellent backing. Their pricing is very reasonable. It has been our "go to" travel insurance company for a number of years.

Guys beware of this company. They will charge the premium amount by showing a good cover, but when it comes to claims they won't claim a single dollar and literally have excuse for every exclusion in their list.<br/>it's better not to have travel insurance than to pay these guys the premium.

Because of Covid, we needed to purchase Travel insurance. Spent a few hours shopping around and found TINZ did all that we needed (without all the extras) and it didn't break the bank balance. Will be asking for a quote on next years overseas trip. Easy to use web site, good value, highly recommend.

Had trouble with my travel arrangements. While I accepted that it was my fault, I needed assistance (non-financial) how to proceed. The lady on the phone was releaved that my claim wasn't covered and did not do anything other that to say they could ring me during NZ business hours, which was completely useless being in Europe. I wonder what would have happened if that would have been a medical emergency. The cheap cost of the policy reflects the service one will receive.<br/>Will certainly not use this outfit again.<br/>Minus 3 stars.

Awesome communication. What great communication with emails from TINZ.<br/>We didn't have any claims but the safety of having travel insurance is a must.
