TINZ Travel Insurance Review

We chose this Travel Insurance when we encountered a Rental Company with a $A4,000 Excess. This was more than the other companies covered so we took it for peace of mind.

I was traveling to the snow for a week and also riding horses for a week. TINZ offered the easiest and most cost effective way to insure myself for these activities and my general travel insurance.

I didn't need to make a claim but it was great to get insurance so quickly online with all the coverage I needed at a great price.

Before I travelled on a solo trip to Peru on a family emergency, i was filling out the form online, when i came across a health issue that i wasnt sure if it would be a problem or not, so i called up the line. The Man who responded was amazing, talked me through everything, and while he said i could stay on the current plan, that for $40 more i would have full coverage, not to mention that if anything happened to me ob my trip they would cover the cost to pay for my daughter to fly over, and also be able to claim on my behalf. Being Peru, where anything is possible, this was a huge comfort to me, and something i would have never known was previously available. Luckily this wasnt needed, but I had my 2 mobths there with total peace of mind.

Became sick in Brisbane & was refused entry on my scheduled flight home to Auckland. Airline wasn't able to book another flight so my partner and I we're stranded in the city for a night while I was in hospital. <br/><br/>TINZ went out of their way to support us, especially a lovely lady named Jo. They continually reassured my partner who had never stepped foot in Australia, that they would make sure we got home asap. Communication was excellent & they frequently updated us their process of returning us home.<br/><br/>My first time claiming insurance of any kind, would definitely recommend TINZ to anyone.

We had domestic travel insurance mainly for the rental car excess cover. This travel insurance was much cheaper than excess cover supplied by the rental car company.<br/>Their follow up communications are brilliant

The means of having arranged the cover was very simple, and the peace of mind it brought to my wife and I was well worth the premium for the 2 weeks journey.

TINZ was amazing to deal with when our 8 month old daughter fell ill, while on holiday in South Africa. They checked in regular with her health progress via email and/or phone calls.<br/><br/>The claims process was quick and without any hick ups. Highly recommend them and will be using them again for future travels.

Did not have to make a claim,only incident was a suitcase fell out the back of a minivan but luckily wad not run over,we stopped very quickly.

Easy to use. I once had to extend my cover whilst I was away found it so easy to extend my cover with no issues at all.
