TINZ Travel Insurance Review

Overall very happy apart from some concerns about irrelevant questions in the claims process such as the total cost of the trip.

Hi, I have pre-existing medical conditions, but the pre approval process was very easy, the whole thing was sorted in a couple of days. Will definitely use TINZ again next year when I go to Italy.

Happily did not need to make a claim but the main reason I took out TINZ was because it did not make any additions in cost for stable pre-existing conditions, thank youi

I was unsure which Travel Insurance company to use, but was recommended TINZ by a fellow NZ traveller. Fortunately I did not have to claim, but was very happy with the assistance given me over the phone as this trip was the first one I have undertaken without my husband, so I had to make all the arrangments.

My leave dates changed but would not allow me to change policy.<br/>Very confusing email chain with them misinterpreting what was said.<br/>Good price up front but ended up being fully wasted thanks to above.<br/>Went with another company and have had good customer service showing that it's not the business, it's the company.

Having travelled a number of times, always with travel insurance but never having to claim, it was a great relief to have my claim with TINZ go through relatively smoothly. I was not able to supply the exact information requested by TINZ for my claim but my alternative evidence was sufficient. Lesson, always keep EVERYTHING until you get home!!

i've returned from Bolivia and Chile and have had thankfully an incident free trip of three weeks. TiNZ insurance policy was value for money, easy to obtain and in view of the possibility of cancellation of our trip due to recent fuel crisis a comfort to know I would be covered.<br/><br/>great job - fantastic follow up and I would definitely use your company again.<br/><br/>Adios<br/>Chris

Me and two friends were traveling through southeast Asia with TINZ comprehensive cover. I was robbed in Vietnam and TINZ processed my claim promptly and very fairly. <br/><br/>Earlier in the trip the sales team also made it super easy to extend our cover when we decided to keep traveling for longer.<br/><br/>Overall I would say TINZ comprehensive travel insurance is great value for money and fair/easy to deal with. <br/><br/>My only small complaint is that the only way to make a claim was to fill out a PDF form, something that is not always easy to do when you're travelling.

I accidentally damaged my phone, claim form with all proof submitted, the reply was like wait for 10 days to allocate a case manager and then only the claim process start. Very much disappointment the reply because other insurance sort these kind issues within 2 or 3 days

I was impressed to get an email on the second to last day of my holiday, asking if I wanted to extend the insurance. Although I didn't claim this time, I did need to make a claim on my previous holiday to the States in May - TINZ are extremely efficient in processing the claim and the whole experience has been so easy both times, from applying to claiming (or not claiming). Very impressed - will definitely continue to use and definitely recommend them

We always take travel insurance but with some medical history this does get more difficult as we age. TINZ are better than most apart from the fact that like all the rest they dont make allowance for those of us who are fit, good BMI and look after ourselves.
