TINZ is a New Zealand specialist travel insurer and there are a few things about their cover which set them apart: cruise cover is included as standard at no extra cost, cover can be extended up to 18 months (well above the industry norm), and dependants under 19 travel free. Just be mindful that claims response times are a little slower compared to competitors.

This insurance gave us sense of security in case something bad happened
Holiday was incident free except we had to pay AUD$76 for doctors visit due to bowel infection.

Holiday to Thailand
This is our second time using TINZ.<br/>Our first time required us to seek advice about an issue we had on holiday. Advice was forthcoming, and follow up calls were made seeking info on the condition of our ill companion. Based on customer service, I’d highly recommend them. As it turned out the cost of our medical bill was below the excess limit.

Travel insurance
It was great to have insurance to cover any possibility of cancellation for travel to the West Coast but I am delighted to say I did not need to make a claim. <br/>I am travelling to Europe later in the year so may use your service if I can get a good deal.

No compassion
We were unable to travel due to having to stay in NZ to help the Police with an investigation. Then you would not allow us to make a claim. This meant that we lost almost 6K in holiday costs! Thanks!

Full Travel Insurance
Full Travel insurance for less than the cost the car rental company charges for excess waiver. That is a good deal!

Great first experience with TINZ
We have travelled every year since our retirement 14 years ago, and though my husband aged 79, has pre-existing medical conditions to cover, we have never had to claim before. This is our first time with TINZ and when we had to cancel this year because of my husband's debilitating stroke, the experience with TINZ, at this very stressful time for us, was easy and uncomplicated.

Would use again
I had my phone and euros stolen in France.. claim put through with ease. Didn't hear anything for about a week...made a call and money was in my account over night. Well priced and easy to deal with
Easy application process and good value for money although have not made any claims. Good prompts when policy about to expire.
