TINZ Travel Insurance Review

It was easy to organize over the internet, and we found the cost very reasonable. Luckily we did not have to lodge any claims but it was nice knowing that the insurance was in place in case there was any issues.

Many are covered. Just make sure you declare. The policy was fair & easy to understand.Options to pay extra(or exclude) for medical conditions many will not cover<br/>Will use again. No claim was required.

I wouldn't use any other company, it's so easy. Especially now my knee surgery 6 years ago is no longer considered a pre-existing condition.Thanks.

Good price for travel insurance. Didn't need to make a claim, but was reminded by email to do so if necessary, which was a nice touch.

Getting insurance through TINZ was hassle free. They were prepared to give us cover for countries which other companies refused to do. We thought that the cost of cover was reasonable as well. We will definitely use TINZ again.

I am appalled that we have taken your travel insurance several times before when we have travelled and never made a claim the one time we need to make a claim you deny is because we accidentally left something in the pressure and stress that we're under. No empathy and no support from your company who do everything to deny claims I see no point in taking out insurance because you can't claim anyway we lost a bag with some sentimental and very valuable items in it so thank you very much for adding to the stress.

It's good to have a cheap insurance option for a short trip to Australia. Most useful is the rental car excess cover, so you don't get pressured into paying last minute insurance add ons

My wife and I bought a Grabaseat holiday in Rarotonga. I needed travel insurance at short notice. Other companies did not want to know. Their internet applications had no flexibility; my wife had been hospitalised three months before and the programmes just cutoff with 'no can do.' With no medical insurance for her there was no cancellation or loss policy available. When I rang TINZ I was told we can insure you but not your wife. How sad. But the policy covered me and was issued immediately. At least one of us was covered.

I took out this policy for my daughter and my travel to Bali. Then Mt Agung erupted on Bew Years eve, prompting me to ring and clarify my policy. I was told that specifically Mt Agung activity was excluded from my policy. I questioned why, when I entered my destination on my insurance request, why I was not directed to an alert highlighting this exclusion. I asked who I may speak to as I was unhappy with the explanation and was told I may email my concerns. I did this, and from that day to this, I have had no response. I subsequently took out additional cover with another company, at additional cost but with the assurance of cover should there be volcanic activity, which thankfully I've not needed to claim against. Very disappointed in TINZ.

I have used TINZ on a number of trips and it is good knowing that cover is there if anything major happens, I have found them to be good value for money and a user friendly site.

So thankful that we go this insurance for our trip overseas. Super easy claims process, quick response and great outcome for 2 stressed out adults!!! Thank you!!
