TINZ Travel Insurance Review

Fortunately no claim needed to be put through during my stay so can't comment on contact centre customer service.<br/>But I like the welcoming email and the goodbye email.<br/>Great price for a great cover

Had to claim for additional flight due to Air New Zealand cancelled flight. Claim submitted and approved in 1 day. Great service.

They do not pay out the replacement value for stolen items. Also, they ask for receipts on items even if they are a gift. Be careful before you take out a policy.

I can not recommend TINZ enough! I have used them a number of times and have had nothing but positive experiences. <br/><br/>I’ll write about the claim I made below but I want to note the amazing service when I tried to call. I was trying to arrange insurance for mum to join us on a holiday on my phone. She needed a pre-existing condition covered and I could not get through the process of purchasing on my phone so I called TINZ. Before the phone was answered I figured I’d be best to try the process on a non mobile device (my laptop). The purchase all worked on my laptop the following day when I tried. But - I got a phone call the same day I remembered to try on my laptop (and bought the insurance) asking if everything was okay because I’d called and hung up! I think that is incredible service!<br/><br/>I have only made one claim - I got a broken windscreen in Slovakia. I emailed TINZ who made a very stressful situation as stress free as it could be (I was trying to deal with Avis who had English speakers and repair people who did not!). Coupled with that, this was one of the few claims I’ve ever made and the first travel insurance claim!) The whole claim process was easy and the payment was really prompt. I would feel very confident making a claim again (but hope I do not have to!)<br/><br/>I would never go anywhere else for my travel cover and I’d recommend TINZ to everyone.

Easy to take out and great value for money. The guy on the phone was quick to answer my questions and nice to deal with.

Getting our travel insurance was easy and straight forward i liked that you already accepted certain medical conditions without having to go through another process. I liked the easy read policy which clearly spelled out what we could claim and were covered for.<br/>

Unfortunately I had to claim on our travel insurance, we had to cut short our holiday due to family tragedy, TINZ were great.

Super easy setting up travel insurance policy. Comparing prices out did all the competition hands down in price and policy cover. Have used twice now and will again in the future.
