TINZ is a New Zealand specialist travel insurer and there are a few things about their cover which set them apart: cruise cover is included as standard at no extra cost, cover can be extended up to 18 months (well above the industry norm), and dependants under 19 travel free. Just be mindful that claims response times are a little slower compared to competitors.

All good at this stage, no need for any claim
Fortunately we have not needed to claim for anything at this stage. We were pleased we had insurance just in case. Thank you.

Always wonderfull
This is the second time I took out insurance from tinz. This time we did not need to claim anything but the previous time we were all very ill. It was such a pleasure dealing with tinz that this time it was a no brainer whom to choose. I didn't even consider someone else.

Fantastic Service Every Time

Great to get cover for pre existing medical problems.
To finally find a travel insurance that will cover pre-existing but under control medical problems was such a relief. Yes, we did pay extra but this gave us piece of mind. We were confident we would not need to make a claim but having the option made our holiday more enjoyable. We have another trip in June and have already signed up TINZ. Thank you.

Quick and fair
We are both elderly and have pre exisiting conditions but which are well controlled. The consultant was quick and fair in her assessment. A refreshing change from being "put through the hoops" with other much vaunted insurance companies!

Easy and good value
Easy to set up even with pre existing conditions. Great to be able to include grandchildren as dependents. Luckily we had no need to claim but it gave us peace of mind. Good value:)

Great Company
A great company who assisted me well when I needed to go to hospital and claim. There were some issues when I first called but these were quickly rectified and the medical advisors provided excellent assistance.

Travelling overseas
I found TINZ while looking online for a insurance that covered an existing condition without paying extra dollars for it . I will definitely use TINZ next time I travel overseas .

Safety in the background
Although we did not need to make any claims while overseas, it was so good knowing that we were covered if there was a hiccup in our plans. Thanks for ensuring we were covered, we had no problems with the service we received when sorting our insurance needs initially. Will definitely utilize TINZ again.
My (Medical) claim on a previous trip was handled quickly and kindly and I decided to stay with TINZ for my just-completed 30-day trip. Happily, the trip went smoothly with no claims, but I had peace-of-mind knowing TINZ had my back.
