TINZ is a New Zealand specialist travel insurer and there are a few things about their cover which set them apart: cruise cover is included as standard at no extra cost, cover can be extended up to 18 months (well above the industry norm), and dependants under 19 travel free. Just be mindful that claims response times are a little slower compared to competitors.

Low cost basic cover
This is a low cost basic cover found it was adequate cover for me and my husband travelling to Australia. Will use again in our next travel plans

Excellent service and follow up
We sent in a claim and it was sorted very quickly.<br/>Only thing was that I tried to claim online and tried 3 times- it wouldnt let me fill some of it in. A bit frustrating but I ended up phoning and they were very obliging and told me to email the documents which was easier.

Value for money
TINZ was best value for money when we were shopping for travel insurance. we had no cause to claim so cannot comment on that aspect.

Easy and great value for money
I found the sign-up process super easy and quick. I had a question about the wording in the PDS and sent an email through to the customer service team and they replied within 24 hours with a full answer to my question. This is the second time I have gotten insurance with them and will definitely do it again in the future.

Quick & easy
Easiest travel Insurance ever to have. Covered all my needs. Did not need to claim. Would use TINZ again. Good value.

It’s imperative to travel with Travel Insurance
We didn’t have any issues so didn’t need to claim for anything over our 6 weeks in the States. However , it’s was Nice to know that if either of us had suffered an accident or loss, we would have been covered. And this group is one of a few who cover motorcyclist riding overseas . Thank you

Stress Free
Amazing customer experience all round. Great value for money for our family of four. Provided peace of mind while travelling and our son happened to have a nasty accident while we were away. Called to check if I needed to claim while still on holiday and was told to relax and enjoy my time away and claim when I was safely home. Claims process was easy, fast and trouble free. Thanks TINZ- already planning the next holiday!

Easily done on line. Competitively priced.
Good to get a return home emaIl with a link should a claim be neccessary. Fortunately I have not needed to claim though impressed with TINZ making first approach if needed..

Very mediocre
It was a very mediocre experience. You get 2x emails for what you pay, especially if you don't end up needing help from TINZ.
I am very happy with TINZ and would recommend you and will use you next time I need travel insurance.
