How many people can I include in my policy?
You can purchase a policy online for up to 10 adults.
Am I covered if I go on a cruise?
Yes, you don’t even need to pick a cruise specific policy. Here’s a top tip: Even if you’re travelling in Kiwi waters you still need to pick pacific, not New Zealand as your destination.
Am I covered for skiing and my equipment?
You are covered medically for any accidents or injury that occur when you are skiing, however there is no cover for ski equipment.
Can I pay to reduce or cancel my excess?
Yes, you can 'buyout' excess by paying an additional premium.
What additional extras are there?
Rental vehicle excess, cover extention, increase luggage limits, replacement cover on baggage items less than 2 years old, accidental death due to terrorism.
Am I covered if my tour company collapses?
Nope, they do not offer any cover for company insolvency or collapse.
I’m not an New Zealand resident- can I buy cover?
No cover only available to New Zealand residents.
What size moped or motorbike am I covered to ride overseas?
Worldcare will cover you for any engine size you ride as long as you’re insured to do so in New Zealand. Just make sure you get your International Drivers Permit (IDP) before you leave!
How long is their single trip cover for?
12 months.
Can I extend my policy from overseas?
Having too much fun? No problems! You can extend your policy with Worldcare up to 12 months.
Do they cover for my rental vehicle excess?
Yep, you're covered up to $6,000 for reimbursement of the Rental Vehicle insurance Excess or the cost of repairing the vehicle, whichever is the lesser, if a vehicle you have rented from a rental company is involved in an accident while you are driving, or is damaged or stolen while in your custody. Cover excludes sedans, hatchbacks, station-wagon, four wheel drives, mini bus or any vehicle over 4.5 tonnes.
Do they offer pregnancy cover?
Expectant mums are covered up until 26 weeks.
