Awesome communication. What great communication with emails from TINZ.
We didn't have any claims but the safety of having travel insurance is a must.

TINZ is consistently the cheapest in the market. We buy domestic travel insurance to cover our rental car excess - much cheaper than taking the rental company’s insurance. The one time we had to claim, it was very easy and efficient. Although we had to pay the rental company for the damage first, Tinz paid our claim promptly.

Because of Covid, we needed to purchase Travel insurance. Spent a few hours shopping around and found TINZ did all that we needed (without all the extras) and it didn't break the bank balance. Will be asking for a quote on next years overseas trip. Easy to use web site, good value, highly recommend.

Took travel insurance out to visit terminally ill parent who died whilst I was there. Tried to claim $500 for change of ticket. Provided death certificate and copies of original flights etc. Wanted a whole medical review of parent from an overseas medical team. No discussion, just refused to look at claim until 'paperwork' done. I pay $400 per month for AA house/car insurance but they made me feel like I am ripping them off. Have withdrawn the claim and will suck it up but just be warned their customer service is cold and inflexible.

Had trouble with my travel arrangements. While I accepted that it was my fault, I needed assistance (non-financial) how to proceed. The lady on the phone was releaved that my claim wasn't covered and did not do anything other that to say they could ring me during NZ business hours, which was completely useless being in Europe. I wonder what would have happened if that would have been a medical emergency. The cheap cost of the policy reflects the service one will receive.
Will certainly not use this outfit again.

Overseas trip to Europe was cancelled due to Covid - 1Cover kindly provided a credit note which was extended to 18 months to allow it to be used this year. The process was handled professionally and communication was excellent throughout. Well done.

Guys beware of this company. They will charge the premium amount by showing a good cover, but when it comes to claims they won't claim a single dollar and literally have excuse for every exclusion in their list.
it's better not to have travel insurance than to pay these guys the premium.

I had a comprehensive policy (no excess)with AA Travel (which by thew way is Allianz so don;'t think it actually has anything to do with AA) I spent two months trying to claim and only ever received a partial payment. Their reasons for denying payment on the remainder made no sense whatsoever but they would not engage in further explanation. It was impossible to actually speak to anyone. Stay away from this company.

The request for accountability was simple to follow, and our claim was efficiently sorted for us. It only took a few days.

I took the Domestic travel insurance cover (within NZ) and process to get the cover was very easy and straight forward. It was a peace of mind.
Unfortunately I had incident which required insurance claim. The claim process was also very easy and clear. Got my claim approved in couple of days. It was a breeze. I woupd definitely recommend getting 1cover insurance cover for my future travels. Thanks heaps.

I travelled to Canada in December 2019 and got travel insurance through my ASB credit card. While I was there I slipped in ice and broke my leg in 3 places. I had to be hospitalised and had a subsequent surgery. I had to fly home by business class as I was on crutches and had just had a surgery. I was anxious about how much would be covered as my hospital stay was just under $40,000. It was not a problem at all and all my costs were covered for which I was extremely grateful. I would thoroughly recommend.
