Easy to set up even with pre existing conditions. Great to be able to include grandchildren as dependents. Luckily we had no need to claim but it gave us peace of mind. Good value:)

I found TINZ while looking online for a insurance that covered an existing condition without paying extra dollars for it . I will definitely use TINZ next time I travel overseas .

A great company who assisted me well when I needed to go to hospital and claim. There were some issues when I first called but these were quickly rectified and the medical advisors provided excellent assistance.

Re my claim: some of the questions I was asked were plain stupid; the reporting of loss expectations were ridiculous.

We had to contact them in London and they were easy to get hold of and very helpful and answered all the concerns we had.

Although we did not need to make any claims while overseas, it was so good knowing that we were covered if there was a hiccup in our plans. Thanks for ensuring we were covered, we had no problems with the service we received when sorting our insurance needs initially. Will definitely utilize TINZ again.

Fortunately no claim needed to be put through during my stay so can't comment on contact centre customer service.
But I like the welcoming email and the goodbye email.
Great price for a great cover

Had to claim for additional flight due to Air New Zealand cancelled flight. Claim submitted and approved in 1 day. Great service.

They do not pay out the replacement value for stolen items. Also, they ask for receipts on items even if they are a gift. Be careful before you take out a policy.

I can not recommend TINZ enough! I have used them a number of times and have had nothing but positive experiences.

I’ll write about the claim I made below but I want to note the amazing service when I tried to call. I was trying to arrange insurance for mum to join us on a holiday on my phone. She needed a pre-existing condition covered and I could not get through the process of purchasing on my phone so I called TINZ. Before the phone was answered I figured I’d be best to try the process on a non mobile device (my laptop). The purchase all worked on my laptop the following day when I tried. But - I got a phone call the same day I remembered to try on my laptop (and bought the insurance) asking if everything was okay because I’d called and hung up! I think that is incredible service!

I have only made one claim - I got a broken windscreen in Slovakia. I emailed TINZ who made a very stressful situation as stress free as it could be (I was trying to deal with Avis who had English speakers and repair people who did not!). Coupled with that, this was one of the few claims I’ve ever made and the first travel insurance claim!) The whole claim process was easy and the payment was really prompt. I would feel very confident making a claim again (but hope I do not have to!)

I would never go anywhere else for my travel cover and I’d recommend TINZ to everyone.
