I have used 1Cover several years, after reading Consumer NZ recommended them as a company suited to my needs; and always they have been cooperative and easy to deal with. I have only needed to make one claim, which presented no problems at all. I don't shop around as I think their rates are competitive.

Whilst being in Bali 2/4 people we have cover for had gotten Bali belly and needed medical assistance. 1cover made it super easy when I called them to see if we were covered and once we placed the claim in within a few days had gotten back to us with it approved. It was simple and easy no hassle everything you want when your over seas! Didn’t need to stress at all!!

They gave very clear guidance of what we needed to do and what documentation was required and the resolution and payment were very smooth and promptly done. I luckily never had to make a claim when I went overseas recently but I’m thankful I bought my travel insurance through a company that was so affordable and made it so easy to understand everything.

The insurance consultant listened to my needs regarding the countries I was visiting and handled everything quickly with expertise. I was very impressed and recommended 1Cover to my travelling companion.

I arranged cover online for my partner and I for a short break away. the price for the cover was very competitive and easy to arrange.
I can't comment on any claims experience because thankfully we didn't need to make a claim!

I was very disappointed with 1 Cover response, first call the guy advised he didn't know and couldn't help me as it was a weekend I would have to call back on a week day to have my questions answered after my passport was lost. When I was able to call back on Tuesday 4 June, 3 days after my flight left, I was told that dispite my having a comprehensive policy, that there was no cover for lost passport and you wouldn't cover me for a replacement passport or 1 x airfare so I could catch up my trip a few days late. I have insured with you for years and you have let me down. Consequently I missed the entire trip.

1 Cover is our trusted company for overseas and domestic travel insurance. We did need to make a claim due to a trip planned to Bali during one of the volcano eruptions. The settlement was very fair and comprehensive from meals to flights and accommodation. Our recent 5 day trip to Fiji was covered for less than $60 for the two of us.

Had my phone stolen. Put in a claim, I had my claim assessed and approved within two hours 10/10 service.

I have recieved very prompt and helpfull service from the team at 1 cover. Their emails are clear and easy to follow their requests.
